Please be advised that Hurricane Dolly – the fourth named storm of the season – made landfall  between Brownsville, TX and Port Mansfield, TX today (Wednesday, July 23, 2008). 

·          Therefore, the final settlement value is 3.6 for HX4 (for CME-Carvill Hurricane Index futures & options on Hurricane Dolly)

·          In addition, given the path of this storm, the final settlement value is 0.0 for HP4 (for CME-Carvill Hurricane Index Cat-In-A-Box futures & options on Hurricane Dolly)

Trading in HX4 and HP4 will terminate at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 25, 2008. 

At this time there is no open interest in any of the futures or options for either HX4 or HP4.

Also notice that futures and options on Cristobal – the third named storm of the season, corresponding to HX3 and HP3 – are still eligible for trading, and will remain eligible until the Exchange is notified by Carvill.

In addition, the next contract in both sequences should be listed for trading on Thursday, July 24, 2008:
